About The Skippers

The Skippers, missionaries in Bolivia for 15 years are now planting a church in Nashville Tennessee.

Jason was born and raised in Oakland, Maryland. In 1996 he went on a short term missions trip to Sucre, Bolivia, where he planned on staying for a year. He soon understood that God had called him to dedicate his life to the spread of the Gospel. Jason extended his stay, and after meeting Norah in 1997 in the Theological Seminary, they married in 1998. Norah is from La Paz, Bolivia. After two years of marriage, Erynn was born in March 2000, Jordan was born in January 2004 and most recently Derrick was born in November 2007.

Since their marriage in 1998, the Skipper have planted several churches in Bolivia.  In 2003 they planted a church in Sucre that has impacted that city greatly.  Working through small groups, discipling many people into leaders, this church has reached thousands.

Jason, Norah, Erynn, Jordan & Derrick lived in Sucre until 2009, when they moved to the city of Santa Cruz, Bolivia to plant another church.  After planting that church and establishing a team of small group leaders, they left this church under the care of Daniel & Claudia D’Amico, missionaries/pastors from Argentina.

In July 2011, they moved back to the USA to prepare to plant what will hopefully be the first of many churches.  They will begin planting both an English speaking & Spanish speaking church in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012.
